Irma Wanda Johnson, best known to friends as Wanda and her family as “Granny” passed away peacefully in Overland Park, on November 22, 2021. She was 90 years old. Wanda was born, March 26, 1931, in British Guyana, South America. She lived in Louisville, KY for most of her adult life before relocating to Overland Park, KS. She is survived by her children: Marc Warrington of Belton, Missouri, Patrick Warrington of McKinney, Texas, Robert Warrington of Mellissa, Texas, Tony Harris of Louisville, Kentucky, Donna Harris of Ft. Payne, Alabama, Christopher Harris of Canada, and Susan Bruckshaw of England. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Wanda was predeceased by her loving husband in 2011. Wanda, was full of life and love for all of her family and friends. She loved to entertain guests and never could get enough of caregiving for newborns at her daycare. She leaves behind a treasure of beautiful memories. She loved attending her boys St. Xavier football games and was dedicated to all of her children. She was a devout catholic and as her health declined, she grew closer to Our Lady and her faith in God’s mercy and grace grew stronger. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, December 6th at the Church of the Ascension in Overland Park, KS. The burial will take place at Queen of the Holy Rosary following the church service.
