Juanita Kathlyne “Kathy” White, 86, Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. Visitation 5-7pm Thursday, Aug. 17th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 SW 150HWY, Lee’s Summit, MO 64082 with Rosary prayed at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Friday, Aug. 18th at the church with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Kathy was born May 20, 1931 in Mendon, MO. After graduating from Brunswick High School, she moved to Kansas City, MO. She worked for Southwestern Bell, where she met Gerald White to whom she was married for 48 years. Later she worked at the KC-St. Bernadette Credit Union. She was a dedicated parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Bernadette Parish from its founding and later at Holy Spirit. She “never met a stranger” and most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and playing cards with family and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald White; brother, E.J. Vater and sister, Marietta Fugate. She is survived by her children, Steve White (Charlene), Susie Scott, Sharon Fristoe (Vince), Gary White (Becky), Mary Beth Callahan (Kevin); grandchildren, Kyle White, Meagan Cauger, Lauren Maniez, Caitlin White, Marissa Fristoe, Taylor Noyes, Mikala Hays, Anna White, Henry White, McKenzie Callahan, Kiersten Callahan and Bailey Callahan; and great grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson and Harlyn White, Keagan and Kinlea Cauger, Ethan and Emma Maniez, Emmett Noyes; and siblings, Donald Vater, Virginia Maag and Veronica Marek.
