
J Mark Billingsley, 63, passed away February 1, 2011 in Kansas City, MO. He was born to Melvin and Betty Jo Barnes Billingsley in Springfield, MO. Mark was a graduate of Republic High School and Evangel University and a veteran of the United States Army. For over 30 years, he was employed by Sears where he held various management positions. Mark was an honest, hardworking, loving son, husband, father, grandfather and a great friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Mark is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Jean (Davis); daughters, Renee Thomas, St Charles, MO and Marti Sloan and husband David of Liberty, MO; son, Gregory and wife Lisa of Prairie Village, KS; 7 grandchildren, Lauren and Sean Thomas, Cameron Young, Alex Sloan and Lucas, Nathan and Jacob Billingsley.
Mark is also is survived by his parents; brothers, Russ and wife Lynda of St Louis, MO, Matt and wife Debra, Topeka, KS; sisters, Joanna Billingsley and husband Kevin, Ozark, MO and Catherine Boling and husband Steve, Springfield, MO; mother-in-law, Lorene Davis and brother-in-law Bruce Davis and wife Susie, Dearborn, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Marvin and Ada Billingsley and Linn and Anna Barnes and father-in-law Wayne Davis.
A visitation will be held at 1:00p.m. February 5, 2011 followed by a memorial service at Gateway Christian Church, 3600 West Republic Road, Springfield, MO. A private inurnment will take place at a later date in Harrington Cemetery in Republic, MO.
