

John Robert "Jack" Passler, 67, of Kansas City, Missouri, was called home by his heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 11th and Broadway. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will be 4:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Jack was born on December 30, 1936 to John Albert and Dorothy Bobb (Sanders) Passler. He was a strong spiritual Catholic who devoted countless hours of his time serving the less fortunate through the soup kitchens and his eagerness to help in whichever way he could in the church. He worked for Acme-Ambulance Service, and was also a past Funeral Director. He also was an avid NY Yankees fan! He will be remembered as a loving father and caring grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marie Elaina Passler and sister, Carol Harris. Survivors include his beloved aunt, Betty Hall; daughters, Rene Gutierrez, Lisa Rodriguez, Ann Marie Hernandez and husband, Mark; sister, Jane Romey and husband, Roger; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Alesia, Andres, Mark Anthony II, Andrea and Alexandria. Dad We Love You, and will Miss You dearly.
