Jackie D. Pickett passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the age of 83. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO, graduating from Southeast High School in 1948 before attending the University of Missouri-Columbia. Jackie was a member of Chi Omega.
Preceded in death were her parents, Bill and Dorothy Jenkins, and her husband, Marion Pickett. Survivors include daughter Debbie Jenkins and her husband Doug Knepper; son Eric Pickett and his wife Darlene Pickett; granddaughter Paige Pickett; and her adopted family Pete and Ella Olson and their children Lauren and Cody, all of Lee’s Summit, MO. The family suggests contributions to the Friends of the Zoo.
Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd., interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
