Jackie was born on June 7, 1935 to Frank and Mildred Colich in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1953. On January 30, 1954, Jackie married Warren L. Messinger in Kansas City, Kansas. They had four children, Sherie, Terri, Warren II (Lee) and Denee'.
From 1959 to 2007, Jackie spent her career working in the restaurant industry in the Kansas City area. Some of the restaurants included were the Golden Ox, Plaza III, various other Gilbert Robinson restaurants, as well as The Breckenridge Hotel, Annie's Santa Fe and The Top of the Tower Cafeteria. Jackie ended her working career for the state of Kansas in their Social Services Department.
Jackie loved to fish, going to casinos, crafting and sewing, and she was an avid Kansas City sports fan. Her other sports interest was the PGA and she especially followed Tiger Woods.
Preceding her in death were Jackie's parents, Frank and Mildred Colich. Surviving her is her sister, Candice "Candy" Henderson (Jim) and two nephews, Jimmy and Jeff Henderson. Jackie is also survived by her children, Sherie (Kenny), Terri (Dan), Lee (Cathy) and Denee' (Gary). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 10 AM at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM, with burial immediately following at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131.
