Jacqueline Patricia Strick “Jackie”, 81, of Fairway, KS, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 4th, 2:00 p.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5250 Mission Road, Roeland Park, KS. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family has requested a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of NE Kansas/Catholic Hospice, 9720 West 87th Street, Overland Park, KS, 66212.

Jackie was born October 26, 1930 in Rockford, IL to Harry and Margaret Holt, but spent the majority of her life in the Kansas City area. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Agnes Church and its Alter Society.

Jackie was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of fifty years, Henry and her brother Richard Holt. She is survived by her eight children; Mary Haugh, James Strick, Margaret Gaughan (Steve), Veronica Daniel (Jeff), Kay Newell (Charlie), Tom Strick, Andy Strick (Stephanie), and Jackie Hartis (Brian) and her 17 grandchildren; Jon, Joe, Olivia, Stephen, Mattie, Julie, Bo, Rick, Courtney, Maggie, Lauren, Christopher, Patrick, Sophie, Drew, Allie and Hannah.

Jackie was a teacher and a devoted mother and homemaker to her eight children and her husband. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
