Jacquelyn M. Schiltz, age 88, of Raytown, MO, passed away on March 16, 2016. Funeral at 10AM on Monday, March 21, at Spring Valley Baptist Church, 8801 E 79th St, Raytown, MO. Jacquelyn “Jackie” was born in Wauchula, Florida on February 1, 1928 and resided in the area. While she was a telephone operator, she met John while he was in the Air Force. They fell in love and married in 1947. She and John moved frequently while he served in the Air Force. In 1959, they moved to Raytown where they raised their four children: Cary, Sherry, Ann, and Jona. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Jimmy, Pat, Kara, Stephanie, Megan, and Nick. She was also the proud great-grandmother of seven. She realized how important an education was and took great pride in the fact that her children were college graduates. She was a Girl Scout leader, PTA president, Raytown Flower Club member, and Sunday school teacher. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. She shared the fruits of her loving labors of her gardens with family and friends. She was an excellent “southern” cook which went along with her gracious style. She was a talented seamstress and could master any craft presented to her from prom dresses to doll clothes. She loved playing cards and delighted in a trip to the casino’s penny slots. What her family and friends remember the most about her was that she was always concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than her own. She gave with her heart. A truly selfless woman that was not only physically beautiful but had a heart and soul of pure gold. She was a fine Christian woman who lived her faith. She was simply the BEST and will be missed by her family and all those who knew her.
