

Jake Allen Wehmeyer, 17, Kansas City, passed into eternity on June 25, 2017. Services are at Briarcliff Church, 800 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64118. Visitation Wednesday June 28 from 5:00 – 8:00, Funeral Thursday, June 29 at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Gladstone, MO.
Jake was born Dec. 1, 1999 in Kansas City, MO to Jeff and Jamie Wehmeyer. He was a beautiful spirit; a loving son, brother, nephew and grandson, with aspirations to be a Marine. He had a great love of sports, including basketball and snow skiing. Jake had a great sense of humor and loved to make people smile. He was a great friend to many and would do anything for them.
Jake is preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlett Wehmeyer; great-grandmother, Maxine Boyd; cousin, Brooks Blackmore; and uncles, Michael Adams and Larry Baldwin. We know that his grandmother and great-grandmother are wrapping their arms around him and Brooks is holding his hand along the way.
Survivors include his loving parents, Jeff and Jamie Wehmeyer; loving brother, Zane Wehmeyer; grandparents, Lois and Wayne Adams; grandfather, Ron Wehmeyer; auntie, Carma Baldwin; uncles, Greg Wehmeyer and Brian (Michaelle) Adams; godmother, Amy Bonner; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Higginsville Habilitation Center Parents Association, 266 Bronco Lane, Gravois Mills, MO 65037.
