It is with great sadness that the family of James C. Rose announces his passing on December 7th, 2018 at 8:41 am. James was 79 years old. He was at home surrounded by his family and loved ones at the time of his passing.
James Carl Rose of Lee's Summit, MO was born May 11, 1939 to William and Rosa Mae Rose in St. Louis, MO. Graduated in 1958 from Central High School. Served in the Air Force from 1961 to the end of 1966. On June 24th, 1967 he married Linda L. Millen from Elgin, IL. Jim worked two years for Dukane Corp. in St. Charles, IL and was employed 27 years with AT&T in West Chicago, IL. Jim and Linda raised two sons: Brian and Bradley in South Elgin, IL. Jim was very actively involved in the boy's sports. Particularly wrestling. Jim's interests included woodworking and creating stain glass works. Upon retiring in 1995, Jim and his family moved to Lee's Summit, MO.
Jim is survived by his wife Linda, and sons Brian and Bradley, and Grandchildren: Braeden, Alyssa, Monet, Muhammad, Maleana, Makayla, Maggie, Mycole, Madi, & Junior. As well as Great Grandchildren: Heaven and Halo. His sister Beatrice Miller also survive along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Paul, Donald, and William Rose, and five sisters Paulina Rose, Dorothy Dothage, Hazel Jeffers, Rosa Lee Rose, and Elsie Duncan, in addition to his infant daughter Barbra Lynn Rose.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church of Lee's Summit, 1625 NW O'Brien Rd., Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081,on January 19th at 1pm.
