James Edward Fisher passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Rockhurst High School and Regis University. His career in the food brokerage business took him to Boston, Massachusetts. After several years he returned to Kansas City where he continued his career in that field. In the mid 80’s he began a family business with his brothers and sister in the produce packaging business.
He was an avid storyteller, had a great sense of humor, a passion for local history and the Civil War and was a dedicated sports fan. He was well-loved and had a large group of lifelong close friends.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Angela Fisher, his sister Kay Hoffman, and his brother, Thomas Fisher.
He is survived by his siblings, G. Robert Fisher, Mary Jane Glazer and Barbara Judge; his three children, Christine Fisher, Jennifer (Scott) Gregg, and James Fisher (Tim Wikstrom). He leaves behind his four grandchildren, Jack, Sam, Emily Gregg, and Juliana LanFranca as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
