

James Frederick Iseman, 77, Belton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Tevis, Belton, Missouri. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Jim was born in Kansas City to Ralph, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Iseman and lived in this area all of his life. He was a proud graduate of DeLaSalle Military Academy. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard where he served as an Engineering Parts Specialist receiving a Good Conduct/Perfect Attendance citation. Jim was a member of the St. Sabina Catholic Church. He was a huge sports fan. His favorite teams were the Royals, Chiefs, and Missouri Tigers, but if there was any kind of ball game on television he was watching it. Watching the Royals win the World Series again was one of the highlights of Jim’s life. Being able to see some of his grandchildren play sports was another highlight and he was extremely proud of their accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. He always stressed the importance of getting an education.
Jim was married for 25 years to Patricia Lee Patterson. Together they raised four children Michael Jeffrey Iseman, Gregory Scott Iseman (Lisa), Kristina McGinley (Mike), and Timothy James Iseman (Sharon). He was so proud of his eight grandchildren Michelle, Matthew, Ryan, Melissa, Shannon, Erin, Ariel and Eden. Jim also leaves behind three brothers Ralph, Jr., Tom and Paul Iseman as well as, four sisters Elizabeth Selleck, Frannie Iseman, Ellen Anderson and Margaret Hernandez. Jim was also so proud to the uncle of 14 nieces, 16 great-nephews, and many more grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John and his brother-in-law Ed Selleck.
