Mr. James Lee (Jim) Jacques was born March 9, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to John and Myrtle Jacques. He graduated from Raytown Highschool in 1972. In 1974, he married Kathy and had his daughter, Kelly, in 1980. In 1982, Jim married Mary Ann, and in 1983, had his son Alex, followed by Matthew in 1985. Jim began his career as an automotive mechanic before starting an apprenticeship as a tool maker, which led to his 30-year career at R & D/Leverage. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for 30+ years. He earned the rank of sachem in 2008 and was a member of the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation Maintenance staff for many summers during his time in scouting. He was involved with the Sports Car Club of America for many years. He was a member of the BVI Trap League and Pioneer Gun Club. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend to all.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Jacques (Grammy), and his father, John Jacques (Poppy).
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Jacques, sister, Francine Bizal, brother, Bob Jacques (and Sherry), daughter, Kelly Kipp (and Brad), son, Alex Jacques (and Stephanie), son, Matthew Jacques (and Kala), and grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ayla, Ashton, and Zachary.
A celebration of life to be scheduled after mandatory stay at home order is lifted so we can gather to share memories and stories of Jim’s life.
