James Carlton McGlone, 72, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on November 22, 2025. He was born on December 6, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, and made Blue Springs his cherished home from 1987 to the present.
Jim was known affectionately by many as “Jim”, and by others as “Jimbo Elrod.”
He was a proud graduate of Northeast High School, Class of 1971—the Vikings—where he played football and formed lifelong friendships that remained meaningful throughout his life.
Jim was married to his loving wife, Regina, for 47 years, and together they shared a warm and happy home in Blue Springs. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with laughter, devotion, and deep love.
He spent his career in the sanitary supply industry, serving many years as a Sanitary Supply Manager. He was also the proud owner of Shamrock Supply, where he built lasting partnerships and a reputation for reliability, generosity, and a genuinely big heart.
Jim lived with an undeniable passion for life. He was loving, caring, and known for his warmth and kindness—qualities that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was deeply devoted to his family and especially proud of his grandkids. He loved classic rock music, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Mizzou football, and sharing a positive message every morning on social media to brighten the days of friends and loved ones.
Bowling was one of Jim’s greatest joys. As part of the Mac Attack bowling team, he celebrated remarkable achievements, including bowling a perfect 300 game and earning trophies that highlighted both his skill and love for the sport.
He also had a wonderful sense of humor and a knack for making people smile with his memorable sayings. Whether calling out “Run, Forest, run!” to the neighbor boy or cheerfully declaring, “Darn tootin’ I like Fig Newtons,” Jim had a way of spreading laughter and connection wherever he went.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife, Regina McGlone; his sister, Jan McGlone; his son, Jack McGlone, and daughter-in-law, Ingrid McGlone; and his grandsons, Ryder and Phoenix McGlone. He is also survived by a large, loving extended family of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Patricia McGlone; his brothers, Jerry McGlone and Dennis McGlone; his uncles Donald Foster and Otis McGlone; and his aunt Betty Foster.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at the Elks Lodge #2509, located at 100 NE Brizendine Road, Blue Springs, MO 64014, beginning at 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Services will take place on the lower level of the lodge.
