Jim was a longtime resident of Weatherby Lake, MO, and member of Park Hill Christian Church. He attended Park Hill High School (‘77) and then graduated from University of Missouri - Rolla (School of Mines) in Mechanical Engineering in 1981. He had a 42 year career as a Field Service Engineer for Siemens Energy, but was a man of many interests, skills and hobbies. He travelled with his work in doing maintenance and problem solving in the power plants across America & occasionally abroad. He earned the respect of many colleagues & customers with his knowledge & expertise. He made many close and life long friends along the way.
He enjoyed living at Weatherby Lake and loved to take his pontoon boat out on the lake. He loved mowing his lawn and others, shoveling snow for neighbors and any excuse to ride his John Deere. He was a master of the grill, a skill he honed with twenty plus years of tailgating before Chiefs games. He rebuilt his 1946 Ford truck and refurbished his 1966 Ford Mustang. Every 4th of July he drove one of his restored vehicles in the Fourth of July parade at Weatherby Lake. He could fix, repair, refurbish anything mechanical or made of metal. He was an avid Chiefs fan & called all penalties before the referees. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed baking cinnamon bread for Christmas & pineapple upside down cake for Jarrod.
Jim met the love of his life, Ann Robinson Loveall, in 2005 and after a long engagement they married in 2014. Jim was a proud and loving father of Jarrod and step-father & grandfather (Papa Jim) to Ann’s children and grand children, Cameron (Krystle) Loveall; Alison (Jeff)Steadman; Abigail Loveall, and Charlie (Phuong) Loveall, and grandchildren Izabella, Calvin, & Connor Loveall, Maya, Celene & Kade Steadman.
Jim leaves behind his beloved wife, Ann; his son, Jarrod Pozin of Kansas City, his sisters Diane Crabtree and Pat Davis. His parents Frank and Jo Ann (Bowers) Pozin preceded him in death. He will be interred at White Chapel cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Park Hill Christian Church, 6601 NW 72nd St. on Thursday, January 18, at 11:00am.
The family wishes to thank all of his colleagues from Siemens who supported him throughout his journey, and his close friends and neighbors at home. He felt your love and kindness and gained strength from it. To honor Jim, support Easter Seals in their efforts for special needs adults or pay it forward with kindness to your colleagues & neighbors.
