Janet was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 13, 1933 to William and Louise (Carl) Kerr. She graduated from Hogan High School and went on to continue her education earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
In 1956, Janet married Henry Peter Gazzano in Kansas City, Missouri and later moved to the San Francisco bay area where they started a family with the birth of a daughter, Jan, and son, John. In 1978, Henry and Janet moved the family back to the Kansas City metro area where she lived the remainder of her years. Upon her return, she worked as a medical transcriptionist and retired from the Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee, Kansas at the age of 69. Janet was a proud mother and grandmother with a love for reading and her cat companion.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Peter Gazzano in 1989, and brother, James Kerr.
She is survived by her son, John Steven Gazzano and wife, Tammy of Olathe, KS; her daughter, Jan Whitman and husband, Boyd of Roseville, CA; and three wonderful grandchildren, Mickayla Gazzano of Mesa, AZ, Nathan Whitman of Roseville, CA, and Benjamin Whitman of Salem, OR.
