A celebration of Janet’s life will be held on December 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Villa St. Francis, 16600 W. 126th St., Olathe, KS 66062.
Janet was born to A. Leo and Eva J. (Lewis) Linck in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy, Kansas City, MO, received a B.A. in Elementary Education from Avila University, Kansas City, MO and completed a master’s degree in Reading Education from the University of Kansas. She taught in the Hickman Mills School District in Kansas City and in the Shawnee Mission School District, teaching the primary grades and reading for a total of 38 years.
Janet served as a volunteer both while teaching and in retirement. She spent time as a Grey Lady for Menorah Hospital, helped at Children’s Mercy and served as a Eucharistic Minister at her church. Her passion was photography, writing poetry, and making cards to give friends. Janet enjoyed spending time in spiritual discussion groups. She had a sharp sense of humor.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sr. Martha Ann Linck, CSJ. She is survived by several cousins: James M. Smith (Georgia), Carol Birmingham (Bernie), James E. Linck (Carol) and Mary Elaine Meyers (Max).
