Janice Lorraine Weddle

Born on October 5, 1939, in Nevada, Missouri, Janice was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Irene Headrick and stepdaughter of Drennan Tolle Sr. Janice's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, faith, and dedication.

A proud graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri, class of 1957, she devoted her early years to nurturing her family as a stay-at-home mom. Once her children were in school, Janice transitioned to a career in clerical work, where her meticulous nature and strong work ethic shone brightly until her retirement.

Family was the cornerstone of Janice's life, a sentiment reflected in the warmth of her home and her unwavering devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Veronica) Weddle, Mark (Stephanie) Weddle, and Terri Frazee. Her legacy continues through her 11 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jon) Wilson, Stephanie (Mason) Bartlett, Nicholas (Meghan) Bateman, Spencer (Reilly) Weddle, Logan (Meagan) Weddle, Marissa (Ryan) Cribelar, Kristen (William) Crain, Devin Frazee, Belinda Frazee, Jocelyn Frazee, and Rebecca Frazee, as well as her 14 great-grandchildren. Janice also leaves behind her dear brother, David Tolle.

Janice's life was also marked by her deep faith. She was a dedicated member of Souls Harbour Assembly of God in Independence, Missouri, and later the Blue Springs Assembly Church in Blue Springs, Missouri. Her faith and her family were her greatest joys and achievements.

A talented quilter, Janice found joy in creating beautiful quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each stitch a testament to her love and care. Her generous spirit and boundless love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

Janice is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Irene, her stepfather Drennan Sr., her sister Virginia, her half-brother Drennan Jr., and her beloved son Barry.

Her absence leaves a profound void, yet her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of Janice's life will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, located at 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri. The visitation will be at 1:00 PM followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. A Graveside Service will take place at Floral Hills Cemetery, at 3:00 PM.

As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we carry forward her legacy of love, faith, and family. Janice Lorraine Weddle will forever be missed, but her memory will remain a guiding light in our lives.

Memorial donations in honor of Janice may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Children's Mercy Hospital.
