Jappy was the daughter of Lael “Babe” and Gus Rau, Jr. Surviving family members include her husband, Stan of 67 years; their two sons, Gus (Cheryl), Dan (Jenni); three grandchildren Jason (Hanh), Andy (Danielle) and Alison (Seth); and five great-grandchildren.
Jappy graduated from Southwest High School, and the University of Kansas. She was an active member and alumni of Chi Omega Sorority and a member of P.E.O, Chapter HN Missouri for 50 years. She was very generous with her time and served on many boards throughout her life.
Jappy loved to read, was an avid bridge player, tennis player, and enjoyed a good round of golf with family and friends. Jappy lived an inspired life and will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Visitation at 10:00 AM followed by the service at 11:00 AM. A private family burial will take place at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, Kansas City, Missouri.
