Born on February 23, 1983, in southern Missouri, Javan was a country boy through and through. Although his family later moved to the Kansas City area, his love for the outdoors never left him. From camping, fishing, swimming, and exploring nature as a child to hunting, riding four-wheelers, and spending time outdoors as an adult, he felt most at home under an open sky or on his motorcycle, where he could ride like the wind, fearless and free.
Javan had a rare gift for working with his hands. He could build a house from the ground up and seemed to excel at nearly everything he set his mind to. He began his career in plumbing and home construction, developing skills that would serve him throughout his life. Eventually, he found his calling in flooring and became one of the best in his trade. He was highly respected for his craftsmanship, work ethic, and attention to detail. Whether helping a friend with a project or tackling a challenge of his own, Javan took pride in doing things the right way and was never afraid to roll up his sleeves to get the job done.
Javan had a way of making people feel welcome wherever he went. His sense of humor, generous spirit, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He never knew a stranger, and those who crossed his path often became lifelong friends.
As the second oldest in a family that would eventually grow to 10 children, Javan learned early the value of hard work, loyalty, and looking out for others. Family was at the center of his life, and those values stayed with him throughout the years. He shared a special connection with children and was the kind of uncle every kid gravitated toward. No one was exempt from his pranks and contagious sense of fun. His playful spirit, patience, and ability to make people laugh created memories that will be treasured for years to come.
Javan joined his brothers, Joshua, Daniel, and Jack, on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jamie Fisher; his son, Logan Steinert; his Mama and Pops, Teri and Ron Masoner; his siblings, Jesse Fisher and wife Stephanie; Jimmy Anders, Jonah Tonasket, Tony Porter; Janessa Anders, Jaime Tonasket, Rhonda Doak, and Alyssa Bierschbach. He also leaves behind 19 nieces and nephews, with one more on the way, and five great-nieces and great-nephews, with another on the way.
Javan’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Newcomer’s Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by services at 2:00 p.m. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Javan to join them in sharing memories, stories, and celebrating a life that touched so many. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his spirit, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of life gathering will be planned at a later date on a weekend.
