It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we share the passing of Jayne Lonelle Dougan, a beautiful soul whose life was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She passed away on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Newcomer’s Funeral Home Floral Hills in Raytown, Missouri. The visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Jayne was born December 17, 1950. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished the people in her life. Her smile could brighten any room, her laughter was contagious. She spent more than 40 years working for TWA Credit Union/Community America Credit Union. Jayne believed in living life to the fullest and enjoyed making memories with the people she loved.
She was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, and the Oklahoma Sooners. She especially enjoyed concerts, get-togethers with family and friends, and, of course, chips and salsa accompanied by a margarita. Her warmth, humor, and ability to make those around her feel welcome will be deeply missed.
Jayne was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Orde Weaver; her stepmother; her brother; her first husband, John Byrne, who passed away in 1994; her second husband, Pat Dougan, who passed away in 2013; and her father in law and mother in law.
She is survived by her sons, John Byrne Jr. and Jared Byrne; daughters in law, Cassie Byrne and Megan Byrne; and her grandchildren, Riyah Byrne, Leo Byrne, John Byrne III, and Gunner Byrne.
Jayne leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her sense of humor, her love of family and friends, and the joy she brought to the lives of so many.
Arrangements are being handled by Newcomer’s Funeral Home Floral Hills in Raytown, Missouri.
