Memorial services are 2:00 PM Saturday, January 22nd, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Inurnment will be at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband, William Darling.
Jean was born October 13, 1936 to Carl and Ruby (Alexander) Boring in Springfield, MO. She lived in the Kansas City area most of her life. Her first marriage was to Richard L. Knapp and they were the parents of two sons, Eddie and Mark. They later divorced. She married William Darling and they enjoyed 27 years of marriage until his passing in 2004.
Survivors include her sons, Eddie Knapp, and Mark Knapp and wife, Laura, both of the Kansas City area; two grandsons, Luke and Tyler Knapp; a sister, Julia McDaniel and husband Dan, of the Springfield, MO area.
