A funeral service will be at 1:00pm Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Visitation will precede the funeral service starting at 12:00pm at the same location. Interment will be at Mount Moriah Cemetery South following the service.

Jean was born December 19, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri to J.W. and Agnes Scott. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1960 and the University of Kansas in 1966 with a degree in Education. She was a member of Sigma Kappa.
Jean spent her professional career in the classroom for 28 years both as a full-time teacher and as a substitute teacher. She was a long-time member of Village Presbyterian Church.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bob of 52 years; her parents; and her in-laws, Claude and Dorothy Enslow.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Enslow and her husband Tony Maddex; her son, David Enslow and his wife Rebecca; and grandchildren, Shannon, Adam, and Isaac. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Marylyn and Luther Wade; in-law Peter Forrester; niece, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was a good mother and loved poetry and animals. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
