

Jeane Eloise Gustin, a beloved and kind-hearted resident of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on August 28, 1943, in St. Augustine, Florida, Jeane was the cherished daughter of Mary Thorpe and Roy Thorpe. She was a patient, compassionate, and generous soul who touched the lives of many.
Jeane was the sister of Jim Thorpe, Lenore Kinman, Joan Sandstrom, and Debbie Nichols, and was predeceased by her brother, Robert "Bobby Dean" Thorpe.
Jeane shared 61 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Victor Harold Gustin. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Jeane was a homemaker, she was a self employed screen printer for twenty years, she worked as a Data Transcriber for the IRS for ten years. Jeane was an active member of NETA at Lake Pomme de Terre.
Jeane's personal interests were as vibrant as her personality. She found joy in card making, golfing, golf carting, boating, gardening, camping, and playing board games and dominoes. She took great pleasure in cooking family meals, which brought everyone together.
In her community, Jeane was known for her generosity, often donating to local thrift stores. Her creative spirit, Catholic faith, and loving nature made her a friend to all she met.
She is survived by her husband Victor Gustin, her sons Patrick (Kim) Gustin and Troy Gustin. Her brother Jim (Vicki) Thorpe, her sisters Lenore Kinman, Joan (Ron) Sandstrom, and Debbie Nichols. Her six grandchildren Shawn, Kaitlynn, Austin, Jennifer, Owen, and Kyle. Her three great grandchildren William, Weston and Cooper. And her many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Cheri Pasquarette, her parents Roy and Mary Thorpe and her brother Bobby Dean Thorpe, and brother-in-law Robert "Bob Bob" Kinman.
Jeane's family expresses deep gratitude to the Kansas City Hospice and the staff at Parkway Senior Living Center in Blue Springs, Missouri, for their care and support.
In her final words, Jeane said, "Go Chiefs!"
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
