Jeannine was born on August 28, 1952, in Leavenworth, Kansas. Throughout her life, she was known as someone who truly cared about others. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and honesty touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Doty; her daughter, Jennifer George; her grandson, Remington Doty; and her beloved fur babies, Avery and Pookie Doty.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan Doty; her grandchildren, Dillin Doty and Danielle Doty of Humansville, MO; Dustin Doty and Johnnie Doty of Humansville, MO; Jonathan Doty and Kyrese Doty of Billings, MO; and Joey George of Blue Springs, MO. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Emma Doty, Carter Doty, Laikynn Doty, Callan Doty, Elizabeth Doty, Eleanor Doty, and Elijah Doty; her beloved fur baby Missy Doty; as well as her brothers, sisters, and cousins who will all carry her memory forward.
Jeannine loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, who brought her so much joy. Some of her favorite moments were the simple ones—visiting, talking, laughing, and just enjoying each other’s company. Living close to family meant a great deal to her, and those everyday moments together became some of the most cherished memories.
She found joy in the little things in life. She loved ordering from Amazon—often buying things she didn’t really need—which always brought a laugh when the delivery trucks came down the road. She also enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, watching her favorite soap opera Days of Our Lives, playing games on her Nintendo 64 and Wii, and she especially loved her coffee, which was a daily comfort and a simple pleasure she truly enjoyed.
Jeannine had a loving but honest spirit. She cared deeply about the people in her life and was never afraid to speak the truth when it mattered. At the same time, she had a playful way of showing that love. You always knew that if you started acting up, you might still get a quick flick on the head from her—a small reminder that no matter how old you were, Nana was still looking out for you.
She was a good person with a big heart who truly cared about everyone around her. Her love, laughter, and the many memories she created with her family will never be forgotten. The world feels a little quieter without her, but the love she gave will always remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
