Jeffrey Robert Cook
March 28, 1990 – December 29, 2018
Jeffrey Robert Cook, 28 years old, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2018.
He was born March 28, 1990. Jeffrey was in the last semester of earning a BS in Computer Science Engineering. He was an Eagle Scout, Bright Flight Scholar, and founded Coding for a Cause to assist nonprofit organizations. He was inducted into national and international honor societies; was co-author of a research paper; served as a teaching assistant and Honors Research Scholar; won numerous awards and contests for computing projects; and, received an award for his work with the Literacy Action Volunteer Corps. Over his college career he worked as an intern for the Cerner Corporation, Cobra Guard, and DST.
Jeff loved the outdoors, philosophy, mathematics, Jewish Studies and gaming. He was dearly loved by his family and community, and will be missed.
He is survived by his parents, Will and Colleen Cook, brother Matthew Cook, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services are Saturday, January 5, 2019 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM, Funeral at 11:00. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Bishop Sullivan Center.
