He was born on June 25th, 1958 to William J. Lambert and Harriet I. Lambert (DeGroff) in Kansas City, MO. Everyone who knew Jeff knows that from an early age Jeff loved life and lived it to the fullest. As a youth Jeff was active in the Boy Scouts. Later, as he was growing up, four wheel drive trucks, fast cars, motocross racing, and Lake life were evidence of his virility. After Jeff graduated from Grandview Senior High School in 1976, he went to work for his father in the heating and cooling business. As time passed and the business grew, it changed names and became Midwest Heating Cooling and Plumbing, which he co-owned with his brothers John and Jack Lambert.
Jeff married in 1978 and soon after gave his life to Christ. Jeff was a loving father to Joshua, Jeremy, and John-Mark Lambert. Jeff later became a loving step-father to Benson and K’lyn Schwark. Anybody whom he called a friend was also treated as family by Jeff.
Jeff enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and shooting sports. Guns and knives were his passion. Jeff loved his country and was very proud of his son’s and his grandson’s service to our country, which he frequently talked about. Jeff was a connoisseur of wine and had a modest collection of fine wines which he freely shared with friends and guests in his house. Jeff loved the mountains, especially the Colorado mountains, and he also never passed up the opportunity to visit the beach. Southern Florida was his favorite beach destination.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father Bill, his mother Harriet, and his sister Susan Lambert Cagney. He is survived by his three sons, their wives, his six grandchildren, his two brothers and his three sisters.
A visitation for Jeffrey will be held Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow th service in Mount Moriah Cemetery South.
