I only knew you Stokes kids because your Mom was one crazy nurse at Central, and I was a whacky art teacher. Gads, she was a blast to be around! I loved her, and she made me love all of you! I felt your sorrow when she went Home. Then you kids grew up, no doubt with the same magnetic personalities and intelligence and kind, giving souls, as she instilled in you. Now you have kids of your own, which are probably similar to the same way you were when you were young. What wonderful people your families must be! My heart goes out to all of you, even if I don't know all of your families. And as God holds you in the palm of His hand, please find a measure of peace and love in knowing that others of us, who knew you long ago, are sharing your sorrow, once again.

Dear Don and family,

God's blessings to each of you. I know this is so hard. It was so wonderful to see all the people who attended the visitation to honor Jenny. She did have an impact on so many people's lives. The next steps will be the hardest. I look forward to staying in touch and wish you all the best.

Much love,

I was so sad to hear of Jenny’s passing. I just attempted to go to her visitation and it was amazing to see the lot full of cars and the line of people coming out of the door. Jenny was clearly a big force in many people’s lives and loved by all. She was a big supporter of me as a nurse, but beyond being a wonderful supervisor, I could tell she really cared about me and the nurses she managed. Hoping for peace for her family during this tough time.

I am so sorry to hear about Jenny. She was one of my closest work friends here at NKCH. I will miss her greatly and miss catching up on the boys and her grandchildren. Her laugh and smile and caring are some of my favorite things about Jenny. People were passion and oncology was her baby. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys.

We spent so many days/weekends with our kids at soccer games and tournaments. I can still hear Jenny's laugh and words of encouragement for her boys and everyone. I feel so lucky to have known her and to have gotten to spend precious time sharing with her family. She definitely loved you as only a mom can. Thinking of you, Don, Ryan, Andy, and Chris and remembering Jenny with such fond memories.

I was so sad to hear of Jenny's passing. We went to grade school together and ran around the neighborhood together as young girls. I have so many good memories playing together as children and fun times in high school. My thoughts and prayers are with the Stokes and Fitzpatricks.
