Jerald (Jerry) L Pritchett, 81, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Cox Health Center Branson, Missouri. He was comforted by many of his family members during his final days.
Jerry enjoyed life. His family was always his top priority. A very loving, generous man, Jerry drove trucks most of his life. Truck driving was his favorite occupation. In later years he worked for the city of Independence; retiring from Independence Power and Light in 2004. He loved traveling. Mountains and the ocean were his main focus. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #630 in Independence for 25 years. A very rewarding experience for him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Brian Pritchett of Independence, Missouri, his parents and one brother Wayne Pritchett of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Karen (Katie) Pritchett of the home, his daughter Terri Fanning (Stanley), grandchildren Stanley Lee Fanning Jr (Katie), Jerad Pritchett, Ryan Pritchett (Melissa), Makayla Rimmer (John) and 2 great granddaughters, Faithlyn and Brooklyn. He is also survived by 8 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The American Lung Association.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, 1:00 pm
