Jere Craig Mayer, 63 of Kansas City, MO died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his home. A memorial Mass will be Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. in the Gathering Hall at the church.
Jere was born December 25, 1948 in Kansas City to Kenneth and Mary Lee (Cochran) Mayer. Jere owned Mayer Painting before his illness. Jere was preceded in death by his father. Jere’s survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Mayer of the home; his son, Stephen Mayer and wife Gloria; daughters, Cindy Rowlands and Teresa Mayer; his mother Mary Lee McConnell; two brothers, Kenneth C. Mayer and wife Dee and Bruce Mayer and wife Pat; sister, Lynda Shahean and four grandchildren, Sydney Rowlands, Scotty Rowlands, Nicholas Rowlands and Kevin Mayer.
