A devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Jerre lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Atkins, Jr., and her parents, Leon and Rose Geraldine Murray.
Jerre is survived by her brother, Keith Murray, and his wife Pam of Freeman, Missouri, her children, Doug Atkins and his wife Kathy of Greenville, Indiana, Christie Atkins of Kansas City, Missouri and Gregg Atkins and his wife Leslie, also of Kansas City, Missouri. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Jackie, Alexis, Nate, Bailey, Drew, Reagan, Brylee Atkins and her six great-grandchildren, Carter, Mason, Addison, Zoey, Harper, and MaryJo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer's Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64133, burial to follow. Visitation will take place prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascend Health Hospice.
