Jerry D. Gentry, 82, passed away October 19, 2017. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at McGilley State Line Chapel with memorial services beginning at 6:00 PM. Jerry was a lifelong area resident. He was a Navy veteran. Jerry worked in the savings and loan industry for over 25 years until his retirement. He had a passion for golf and enjoyed being a Marshall at Fred Arbanas Golf Course after his retirement. The driving passion in his life was his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a nephew. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ginny; a son, Dr. James Gentry and his wife Leann; a daughter, Vicki Ferguson; 4 grandchildren, Bizi Murray, Jimmy Gentry, Cole Ferguson and Tommy Gentry.
