

Jerry Knight, 74, Kansas City, passed away Nov. 18, 2016. A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, Nov. 25 from 5:30 – 7:30 at McGilley Antioch Chapel, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City. Burial will be 1:00PM, Saturday, Nov. 26 in Eldridge, MO.
Jerry was born March 24, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Clyde and Olah Knight. He grew up on the West Side and loved to play baseball. In 1961, he married Grace Henning. To this union was born five children.
Jerry was an entrepreneur who started multiple businesses, including J&J Kiddy Rides, St. John Car Wash and Knights Bar-B-Q. He was also an active Shriner and Mason.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Harriett Crowley, John Lynn Knight, James Knight and Bill Knight; and an infant son, Wade Arnold Knight. Survivors include his children Rhonda (Doug) Yawberry, Lisa (Shawn) Rhodes, Julie Knight (Sam Hannoun) and Aaron (Rachel) Knight; siblings Louis Knight and Betty Knight; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his life-partner, Connie Johnson.
