JO ANN MILLER Jo Ann Miller, age 84, of Independence, MO, passed peacefully on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014. Visitation at 11AM on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Floral Hills, followed by the graveside service at 12PM at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. She was born January 15, 1930 in Higginsville and resided in the Independence area her entire adult life. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, and a hands-on mother who raised her children while managing the household. Working with her husband on his garage sale finds became a passion. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Miller. She is survived by her two children, Carl Jr. (Sharon) of Independence and Linda (Roy) Dixon of Winter Springs, FL; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Dixon of FL, Jessica Caputo of FL, Cameron Miller of Liberty, Brant Miller of AZ, Carlean of Indep.; and 5 great grandchildren.
