Joan (Kerr) Bucklew, 86, born February 1, 1928 to John A. and Mabel L. Kerr, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, July 3, 2014, with loved ones at her side. A lifelong resident of Kansas City, Joan was loved by all who knew her and she never met a stranger. Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ray Jr., daughter Cathy Lynn and son Steven Jeffrey. She is survived by son Ray Bucklew III, grandsons Geoffrey K. and Joel A. Bucklew, all of the Kansas City area. Graveside services will be held at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, 10507 Homes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131 on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
