JoAnn Hanover, 86, of Kansas City, MO passed away May 21, 2014. She was born October 28, 1927 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of the late Everett Baty and Mary Etta Gilliland. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was retired and worked previously as a draftswoman and interior designer.
She was a generous woman with a quick witted sense of humor and infectious laugh. She carried herself with confidence and grace throughout life. JoAnn had a smile and personality that will not be forgotten her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hollis Hanover, and her brother Everett Baty Jr. She is survived by her daughter Susan Chamalis, her husband Andreas of Roswell, GA, and her daughter Rebecca Winchell of Kansas City, MO. She had four grandchildren, Lisa Valencia, Steve Ramirez, JoAnna Chamalis, and Ashley Winchell; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
