John Joseph Azzaro, Sr.

John Azzaro, 58, Kansas City, passed away Oct. 3, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, Oct. 10 at 11:00 AM at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1357 42nd Terrace, Kansas City. Visitation will precede the service from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

John was born August 21, 1958 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Josephine Caruso Azzaro. A life-long resident of the Kansas City area, he married his high school sweetheart, Jean Balachowski, and together they raised two sons. John loved to hunt and fish, was a natural jokester who could make anyone laugh and was a devoted family man, especially caring for his two grandsons.

John is preceded in death by his father, Frank; son John Josepn Azzaro, Jr.; and sister, Concetta Azzaro. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Jean Balachowski Azzaro; son Anthony (Vanessa) Azzaro; mother Josephine; brothers Mike (Judy) Azzaro, Anthony (Bernadette) Azzaro, Frank (Deborah) Azzaro; sisters Rose Marie (Anthony) Bass and Josephine Marie (Eric) Childrey; and beloved grandsons Anthony Azzaro, Jr. and Santino Azzaro, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
