John Robert Carroll, 63, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away in the early morning on October 15, 2010 at his home. A celebration of his life gathering will be held from 12:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, at Crossroads United Methodist Church, 700 Quick Trip Way, Belton, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice Charitable Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Mr. Carroll was born January 23, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, son of Robert M. and Pauline R. (Cox) Carroll. He retired from John Deere Co after 30 years. John was a 1965 graduate of Center High School. He was preceded in death by his father Robert M. Carroll. He is survived by his wife Sheryl (Walley) Carroll; sons Jeff Carroll and wife Vonda, Belton, Missouri, Shelby Carroll and wife, Tisha, Blue Springs, Missouri; grandchildren Taryn, Samantha and Josh; mother Pauline Carroll; sisters Joan Bonny (Jim) of Colorado, Jean Twyman (Jim), Raymore, Missouri, and Jane Snodgrass (Jim), Lee's Summit, Missouri; nieces and nephews Angela, Abby, Jessica, Erica, James, Joe and great nephew Mac.
