
John Louis Davis, 89 of Kingsville, MO passed away August 26, 2017. Born on July 7, 1928, graduated from Lillis High School in Kansas City and joined the Navy shortly thereafter. He was a fireman for the Kansas City Fire Department until he found his true calling for the next 35 years as a District Manager for The American Tobacco Company. After retiring, he left his home of 20 years at Lake Lotawana to move to his farm in Kingsville, MO where he spent the next 30 years farming. John is survived by his wife, Candy Davis, daughter Cindy King of Lake Tapawingo, MO, son Richard (Sherry) Davis of Lake Lotawana, stepson John (Kay) Bowman of Blue Springs, MO, step daughters Sheri (Ted) Gifford of Lee’s Summit, Julie (Tom) Dempsy of Mesa, AZ, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 30 from 7:00 – 9:00pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10:00am on Thursday, August 31 at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 201 S. Broadway, Oak Grove, MO. Military Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, 25203 E. 50 Hwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.
