John H. Fitzgerald, 72, Pleasant Hill, Missouri died March 21, 2014. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March. 26 at Mt. His final career in hospitality management was with Collins Foods International. The family wishes to express its thanks to St. Joseph Hospital staff for the tremendous care and concern for our beloved Johnny Fitz. Great is your faith. Be it as you desire.

I just found out about his deepest sympathy to his family and many friends. I dated him in high school many years ago! He was a great guy! R.I.P.

We were so sad to hear of John's passing, and sorry we didn't make it back to see him after he moved from L.A. He was my brother-in-law for many years and a fun part of our family. We always called each other on birthdays and holidays, and sometimes during sports playoffs! We will miss talking to him and seeing his smile.

I had not seen John for many years, but his smiling face and wonderful sense of humor will be remembered by all I am sure.

I just learned of John's passing and my deepest sympathy goes out to his family.

I will miss our daily conversations during football and basketball season about the Kansas City Chiefs and Missouri Tigers. Talk about a die hard fan, that was John. His wit, sarcasm, and knowledge of his favorite teams was something to be teasured.

I last saw John two weeks ago at St Joseph Hospital. He was having a tough time but remained positive as to his future. He was not going to give up his fight to live.

I knew John for over 50 years and I'm proud to call him one of my best friends ever. I will miss him

He was a loving and kind husband. He and his family were my pillar when I lost my folks.

He won't limp anymore and can have all the Tia Maria he wants, while God keeps him up on the football scores.

Blessings to a special soul.
