John J. Fennesy, Jr., “Grumpy” 86, of Kansas City, MO., passed away February 15, 2014. He was born March 9, 1927 in Kansas City MO to John and Charlotte (Maloney) Fennesy. John served in the United States Navy. He was a member of IBEW Local Union #124 for 65 years and a lifelong member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia; son, Steven; sibling, Mary Schranz (Leo), Norita Riehle (Joseph), Helen Blinzler (William) and Edward Fennesy (Leona). John is survived by his children, Linda (Don) Parris, Marcia Fennesy, Mary (Mike) Gauldin, Joe (Diane) Fennesy, John (Lily) Fennesy, and Mark (Jennifer) Fennesy; brother, Tom (Marilyn) Fennesy; sister, Charlotte King; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Thursday, February 20th, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, KCMO, followed by visitation until 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. February, 21st at the church, followed by burial in Mt.
