John was born April 9, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Henry and Mary Rhoda. John was an engineer for the Kansas City, Missouri Public Works Department. He is survived by his wife Sharon (Atterbery) Rhoda.
Visitation will be held at McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 11924 East 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64133, on August 25, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Private interment at Mound Grove Cemetery Independence, Missouri
