

John Phillip Sterling Rineman, age 72 of Overland Park, Kansas; beloved husband, father, brother and uncle. John was born on May 27, 1949 in Baltimore, MD. He worked as a realtor in Overland Park, KS for 15 years. He also owned his own Detail Business detailing cars for car dealerships. His favorite job was working in maintenance at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church. His love of the parishioners brought him his greatest joys in life. John always wanted to help people. John was quite the fisherman and his love of fishing developed many strong friendships through the Backlashers Fishing Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Evelyn (Dygert) Rineman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Guziec; brothers-in-law, Joseph and Richard Guziec, Robert Huff, Al Stackhouse; sister-in-law, Pat Rineman.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joanne, of Overland Park, KS; son, Joey, of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Joan Huff, of Finksburg, MD; Jean Stackhouse, of Edgewood, MD; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Baker, of Abingdon, MD; brother, Robert Rineman, of White Marsh, MD and sister and brother-in-law, Becky and Vince Cascio of Abingdon, MD. He is also survived by Margaret and Tom Hoarty, sister-in-law and brother-in-law and Nancy Guziec, sister-in-law all of Omaha, NE; nieces and nephews, Robin Huff and husband, Rodney, Kimberly Kron, Allison Michie and husband, Mark, Jason Stackhouse, Carrie Stock and husband, Tim, Donald Baker and wife, Jennifer, Christopher Deitrich, Michael Rineman, Megan Hann and husband, Matt, Joe Cascio, Colleen Hoarty and husband, Eric Gautschi, Patrick Hoarty and wife, Carrie, Daniel Hoarty and wife, Valerie Pradhan, Maureen Kubat and husband, Rick, John Hoarty and wife, Katie Laskasky, Kathleen Hayden and husband, Seth, Michael Hoarty and wife, Jeanie Donovan, Timothy Hoarty and wife, Melanie, Terika Weyant and husband, David, Andrea Guziec Iaccheri, Christopher Guziec and wife, Ania, Amy Guziec; and extended nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Tuesday, July 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with Prayer Service following. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, July 7, 10:30 a.m. Both services will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 West 71st Street, Overland Park, KS. Cremation to follow.
