John Phillip Taylor of Lee's Summit, MO passed away peacefully at his home on his birthday May 3, 2020. He was born May 3, 1932 in Jamesport, MO. John worked for Santa Fe Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for a total of 48 years, retiring in 1999 from BNSF Railroad after 36 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zella and Frank Taylor; sister, Dorothy; brothers: Walt, Bob, Howard, Don and David.
John is survived by Barbara, his loving wife of 50 years; brother Richard of Janesville, CA; daughters Donna Paglia and Laurie Kaplan, both of San Antonio, TX; sons, Steven and Paul of Cleveland, OH, Robert of Grand Rapids, MI, David and Don of Kansas City; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A private family service was held May 7, 2020. Interment at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO.
