John was born in Clarksville, AR, in June of 1943, but spent most of his life in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Park Hill high school in 1961. Shortly after graduation, he traveled to Panama, where it was rumored he wrestled a wild cat with his bare hands. John was a lover of baseball. He pitched for the Owens Illinois city league team in the 70s, and was recruited by the Chicago Cubs after pitching two no-hitters against the Kansas City Police Force. After leaving Owens Illinois, John laid brick for houses all over Kansas City. In the late 70s he founded Mid States Blower and Repair Co. John dedicated almost 50 years of his life to the bus ministries at Tri City Baptist Church, Kansas City Baptist Temple, and Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple. He had a huge laugh which was instantly recognizable to all those around him.
John was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Annabel “Ann” Warren; son Jeff Lee Brittle; brother Albert “Bogee” Warren and most recently his sister Betty of Topeka, KS.
John will be missed by his surviving family to include his five children: Lisa Ballieu, John Warren, Teresa Codemo, James Warren, and Willis Warren; 11 Grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
