He is survived by his step daughter Stacey Toyne Berens married to Keith Berens and her children Chloe and Bo Berens from Gulf Breeze, Florida, as well as two sisters, Fran (Lusco) Burkhart married to Ron Burkhart of Cleveland, Mo and Anita (Lusco) Horine married to Don Horine of Lenexa, KS and his niece Jennifer Cairns of Lenexa, KS married to Sean Cairns and nephew Jason Horine of Shawnee Ks married to Jessica Horine. He also leaves 5 great nieces.
His happiest days were the days he lived in Naples, Fl working at the car dealership with all of his buddies and either golfing as often as was possible, and fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. He moved back to Kansas City for health reasons, but always wished he could return.
He will be missed by his family and friends. But he is in a better place and is no longer suffering.
