Joseph Vivona

Joseph was a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He was born March 29, 1927 to Leonard and Genevieve (Piazza) Vivona. Following high school he served in the U.S. Army. Joseph was a life-long devout Roman Catholic and belonged to St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church. On April 28, 1962 he married Marilyn Lynch. Before her passing on June 15, 2019, they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Throughout his life, Joseph was a hard-working provider, husband, and father to his family.

In addition to his wife and parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his sister, Vivian Belden. Survivors include his children son, John Vivona and wife, Annamarie, son, Joseph Michael Vivona and wife, Mariangel, and daughter, Ruth Broxterman and husband, Michael; 3 grandchildren, Ethan, Logan and Gwen.

A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 13th at St. Gabriel Archangel Parish. The Funeral Mass will follow rosary prayers at 10:30 am., also at St Gabriel Archangel Parish. Burial will follow services in Resurrection Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
