
Born on July 13, 1998, in Independence, Missouri, Joshua was a man of faith who loved Jesus Christ and was never ashamed to speak about Him. Saved and baptized in 2014, Joshua sought to share the gospel with anyone who would listen, especially through his work, his friendships, and everyday conversations.
Joshua was a rehab technician, an aspiring musician, and a man who cared deeply about helping people. He loved golf, video games, music, and making people laugh. Those who knew him will remember his humor, his compassion, and the ways he tried to encourage and help others.
Joshua is survived by his mother, Jennifer Briggs; his father and stepmother, Richard and Sheryl Briggs; his sister, Ashlee Williams, and her husband, Ethan; his sister, Ashley Par-Due, and her husband, Alex; his brothers, Shane Par-Due and his wife, Mary, and Sean Par-Due; his niece, Ava Trenz; his grandfathers, Paul Clark and Jack Briggs; his grandmother, Dianne Briggs; his uncle and aunt, Chris and Emily Miller; his uncle, Jeremy Clark; and his aunt, Erica Clark.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, JoAnne Clark, and his aunt, Tracie Briggs.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Living Faith Lee's Summit Church on Hook Road in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 p.m.
Joshua will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his faith, his laughter, his love of music, and his desire to help people. Though absent from us, he is present with the Lord and will be remembered with love by those who knew him.
