Joy Ellen Jackson

Joy Ellen (Monteil) Jackson, 76, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on October 31, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on March 15, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Charles A. Monteil and Lillian M. Patterson.

On July 20, 1968, Joy and Max were united in marriage and shared a wonderful life for almost 50 years. Joy worked for Twin City State Bank for many years as their Assistant Vice President.

Joy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lillian Monteil; brother, Joseph Monteil; brother, Charles Anthony Monteil; great-grandson, Kevin Shane; great-granddaughter, Samaya Lurks; and daughter in law, Rhonda Jackson.

She is survived by her children: Mark Jackson of Raytown, Mike (Jenny) Jackson of Bates City, David (Michelle) Jackson of Lone Jack and Steven Jackson (fiancé, Dee Lewis); 9 grandchildren; Haley, Colton, Kalynn, Carly, Caleb, Michelle, Eric, Christy and Jessica; 10 great-grandchildren, including Kylen Everleigh Jackson; sister, Cheryl Lee; and brother, Albert Monteil.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Moose Lodge, 2537 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO on Saturday, December 2 from noon-3 PM.
