Joyce C. Schild Kohl

Joyce E. Schild Kohl, age 97, of Kansas City, MO passed away on December 29, 2012. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. on Friday, January 11th, 2013 with the Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 West 103rd St., Overland Park, KS. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Joyce was born June 16, 1915 in Cowgill, MO to the late Hazel and Fanny (Fowler) Coffman. Joyce received the equivalent of an associate degree from the School of Radiology Technology from the General Hospital in K.C., MO. She married Fred Schild and was a housewife most of her adult life. Mr. Schild passed away in 1972 and Joyce later remarried Glen Kohl. She enjoyed shopping, reading, traveling, following Kansas City Chiefs football and socializing.

Joyce is survived in death by daughters Georgiana Wiesner of Oklahoma City, OK and Sr. Mary Schild, MMS of Tucson, AZ, and son Fred Schild of Chuckey, TN, 36 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Fred Schild and Glen Kohl, and daughters Sandra Fletcher, Margaret McNellis, Patricia Deitchman, Kathleen Dowdle, and Joan Pinkerton.
